Gottman-RED workshop for couples therapists:
Therapists with ALL therapeutic approaches are invited to join and explore as they consider care for their patients and clients.
Dr Kim Lampson is visiting Australia in September.
Dr Lampson is the author of
Therapy for Relationships with Eating Disorders: A Clinician’s Guide to Gottman-RED Couples therapy
This is a two day workshop combining teaching, discussion and role-play to introduce therapists to this therapy for issues related to Food, exercise, weight and body image issues.
Participants will learn the importance of understanding these issues, explore 14 interventions, and practice key techniques such as The Loving Filter, TOES (come and find what this means!) and The Aftermath of a Behaviour.
The training also covers awareness of 5 treatment goals: developing a treatment plan, creating safety, building connection, facing the future, and maintain strength.
