PACFA (Reg.), Clinical/Supervisior, CCAA (Clinical/Supervisor)Miranda provides individual and family counselling around issues of stress, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, self-esteem, eating disorders, spiritual issues, relationship, personal growth, parenting and cross-cultural issues. Miranda has special passion in the areas of women’s issues, pre-marriage and family counselling and has a particular interest in couples counselling.
Miranda uses a pre-marriage course called Prepare/Enrich as a basis and tailors it to suit each couple’s different needs. Miranda has also completed Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
Miranda uses Eclectic counselling approaches that suit clients’ needs including Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Her desire is to journey alongside and empower individuals, offering respectful and non-judgmental support, which assists in understanding and negotiating challenging life issues.
Miranda offers supervision appointments to school chaplains, counsellors and others who work in the area of caring for people.
Health Fund rebates may be available for clients with appropriate health insurance cover with BUPA, Medibank Private, AHM or ARHG funds (including Police Health, St Luke’s Health, Phoenix Health Fund and Emergency Services Health).
