
Linda Paterson
Counsellor
MCouns. CCAA (Reg).Linda is a counsellor who works with adults as they attend to their mental health needs and challenges. Linda brings to her practice a wealth of professional experience from her 25 years as a Registered Nurse and from life experience gained from living in multiple and diverse non-Western countries.
Linda brings a warm, kind, and compassionate approach to working through issues including:
- Anxiety and Depression
- Addictions
- Trauma
- Grief and Loss
- Personal growth
- Marriage and Relationship Counselling
- Anger Management
- Life Transitions
Linda’s main techniques include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Polyvagal Theory and Attachment Therapy. Linda has completed Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and has a special interest in Couples Counselling. Her counselling philosophy is to tailor her counselling to the person’s unique challenges and empower them to a collaborative and curious exploration of their own journey through psychoeducation.
Linda is not taking new individual clients at the moment.
