About us

Foundations Counselling Centre was established in 1999 as a professional counselling service to the community in response to a clear need for the provision of high quality counselling and assessment services provided by consultants holding a Christian world view.

Founders, Peter Brown and Carolyn Russell, have developed a team of competent and experienced professionals whose expertise covers a wide range of counselling and psychological issues.

Some practitioners at Foundations Counselling Centre are associated with training in the Living Wholeness Approach and some counsellors use it's Christian Wholeness Framework for their counselling process.

We offer our services to people of all ages, cultural backgrounds, faiths and worldviews. See Services for more information on what we offer.

Our practitioners include GP counsellors, psychologists, social workers in mental health and counsellors. All types of counsellors work within the ethical guidelines of their respective associations. See Our practitioners for more information.

This is a private practice, with Medicare rebates available for sessions with GP Counsellors, psychologists (with a Mental Health Care Plan issued by a GP). Bulk-billing or reduced fees may be offered in some instances at the discretion of the practitioner. If you have private health insurance you may be able to obtain a rebate for sessions with some counsellors. See Fees for more information.
