I am a counsellor with over eight years’ experience in the family support sector, working with adults, children, and families. I take a collaborative approach and believe that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, supporting and empowering you as you navigate challenges, work toward your goals, and create meaningful change.
Clients often describe me as warm, empathetic, and supportive. I aim to create a safe, non judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted. My practice is trauma informed and person centred, drawing on attachment theory, child development, and strengths based approaches. I am also trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) informed skills, supporting clients to manage emotions, cope with distress, and respond more effectively to life’s challenges.
A significant area of my experience is supporting parents, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, and high levels of stress. I work with parents to strengthen their own wellbeing while navigating the complexities of parenting and supporting their children’s emotional and developmental needs.
Alongside parenting support, I also work with adults from the broader community who may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, life transitions, or feeling overwhelmed. I support clients to better understand their emotional experiences, build practical coping strategies, and develop resilience in everyday life.
I am also a certified Circle of Security facilitator and a Parents Under Pressure practitioner.
