Shane Ware

Shane offers a warm, welcoming, and non-judgemental space where clients can feel truly heard and supported. With a calm and grounded presence, Shane creates an environment that encourages openness and trust.

Currently completing his Bachelor of Counselling at university, Shane brings both life experience and a deep commitment to personal growth and healing. He is a leader within his church and is passionate about helping new Christian’s understand their identity.

As an Army veteran who served in Iraq, Shane has a particular passion for working with fellow veterans, supporting men’s mental health, and assisting individuals navigating major life transitions. His own journey gives him a unique insight into the challenges and resilience that can emerge through times of change.

Shane works from a strengths-based perspective, helping clients draw on their own inner resources to move toward their goals. He tailors his approach to each individual, using a range of therapeutic modalities including Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), Narrative Therapy (NT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), depending on the client’s needs and preferences.

Outside of his counselling work and studies, Shane enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children. He’s also a keen fisherman and an avid reader.
