Vidya Pachipala

B.A.; M.Sc. (Psychology); PG. Dip.Prof. Psy.; MAPS 

Vidya is interested in working with adults, adolescents and children who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress related issues, substance-abuse, women’s issues, trauma, abuse, addictions and cross-cultural issues.  She also works with couples who would like help with relationship issues.

Vidya is qualified to conduct assessments for children who are having learning and attention difficulties and/or behavioural issues at school. She has an interest in helping children and young people with attachment, trauma, self-esteem issues, peer pressure, bullying, cyber safety and parenting issues.

Vidya is also interested in providing support to people newly arrived in Australia from other cultures and assisting with adjustment to life in a new country. She can speak and understand the following Indian languages: namely, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil.

Vidya believes in building a healthy therapeutic relationship based on active listening and genuine empathy.
