Foundations Counselling Centre was established in 1999 as a professional counselling service to the community in response to a clear need for the provision of high quality counselling and assessment services provided by consultants holding a Christian world view.
Founders, Peter Brown and Carolyn Russell, have developed a team of competent and experienced professionals whose expertise covers a wide range of counselling and psychological issues.
Foundations Counselling Centre is associated with Living Wholeness Global and some counsellors use the Christian Wholeness Framework for their counselling approach.
Current clients come from a wide cross-section of the community and include people from a young age to the elderly.
At Foundations Counselling Centre we have GP Counsellors, Psychologists and Counsellors. All counsellors work within the ethical guidelines of their respective associations.
This is a private practice, with Medicare rebates available for sessions with GP Counsellors, psychologists (with a Mental Health Care Plan issued by a GP) and social workers (with a Mental Health Care Plan issued by a GP). Bulk-billing or reduced fees may be offered in some instances at the discretion of the practitioner. If you have private health insurance you may be able to obtain a rebate for sessions with some counsellors.
